Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone for your interest and participation. The judging process was both difficult and exhilarating; there were many great screenplays worthy of consideration. We are pleased and encouraged that so many of you are writing such inspiring, ground-breaking and dynamic screen roles for women and minorities. We are also happy to announce that next year, in 2002, the prize monies will once again be $2000 to each of the two finalists.
